If you know your genetic potential think of the things that you could shift, change, redo?? I am not a big believer that , ‘This Is It, I Have To Live With It!’ Humans are made to be strong, resilient no matter the age. Yet with each generation are we not seeing more health issues ?

Finally we are starting to be serious about our food, especially fast food, processed food, frozen foods…….. We see that with all of the chemicals put in to keep the somewhat edible foods preserved for longer shelf life, along with not getting outside do to technology consuming us, and lack of regular exercise. So lets look at this in a logical way, about how our genetic blueprint is our basic ‘instruction ‘ manual’ always had been there residing in us to give us naturally the information to live a long healthy productive life.

We need to understand what are our strengths and weaknesses in our genetic scope—

Your genes influence everything from —

  • Nutrition needs

  • Metabolism needs

  • How you respond to stress

  • Brain Chemistry

  • Detoxification capacity

  • Exercise recovery and muscle type, and what exercises work with your body for overall strength, and weight management .

Genes have variants, think of them as little tweaks in the gene that create propensities for all kind of functions, from sensitivities to foods, to how you process saturated fat. Understanding this creates more knowledge that you can see and feel where your body naturally excels and where it needs more support.

Tired of guessing how you should eat, what kind of foods are best for you to feel well and help with weight management? Instead of guessing what is the best diet, or what is the best supplements to take, or even what is the best exercise to do so you don’t overstress your body? You see some people do reallly well with carbs, others wit more fat, your genes can guide you with this. You may need more B12, magnesium or antioxidants due to poor absorption genes. You might metabolize caffeine or alcohol slower or faster, affecting your nervous system or liver. Understanding this gives you inside that helps you optimize rather than trial-and-error your wellness plan.

Genes are not your destiny, Epigenetics shows us that genes can be turned on or off based on lifestyle, and our understanding through our blueprint is what we can do to optimize to the best we can be. We can do this by—

  • Eat the right foods per our own genetic blueprint

  • Reduce toxins

  • Manage stress and sleep better

Your genes are shifting 24/7, how they express themselves is by again the lifestyle you live! This puts a positive spin that YES you do have the ultimate control here! You see you can silence unhealthy pathways and activate new and protective ones!

Even your brain becomes involved. What I mean is that genes can unlock mental and emotional potential. Genes like COMT, MAO-A, and MTHFR to name a few, influence how you produce and recycle brain chemicals like dopamine and serotonin.

Understanding YOUR variants helps you :

  • Improve focus, calm and mood

  • Reduce anxiety or overstimulation

  • Build better emotional resilience

Let’s look at exercise/working out— knowing your genes-based traits (like fast-twitch vs. slow-twitch muscles, or endurance recovery time) helps to fine-tune:

  • Your workouts

  • Rest periods

  • Training strategies

  • Better weight loss outcomes

  • The right exercise the more optimal benefits as you are not over stressing your system.

Knowing and understanding your own bio-individualized genetics prevents health issues before they start. Genetic insights can help change through better Epigenetics:

  • Inflammation

  • Hormone imbalances

  • Nutrient deficiencies

  • Detox issues

  • Chronic conditions

Knowing what you know about yourself through testing gives you the info, you can take early , targeted action to prevent problems before symptoms appear.

You see, bottom line getting genetic testing helps you by giving you the needed information of your genes to help optimize your body’s natural blueprint. This empowers you to:

  • Personalize your health strategy

  • Reduce overwhelm

  • Prevent disease

  • Reach your physical, mental, and emotional best
